The One with the East German Laundry Detergent

So our landlord's still haven't finished the laundry room. The washer and dryer have been out in the garage, waiting to be installed. As you can imagine, our laundry has really piled up. First we ran out of underwear, so my nice in-laws allowed me to use their appliances to get them clean. Then we ran out of towels, and jeans, and then shirts, and then pretty much everything else. I didn't want to do all this laundry at my in-laws so Cameron suggested the laundromat.

I said: Not only no....I don't know why, but I have this intense fear of laundromats; probably right up there with public bathrooms and ketchup dispensers. I prolonged it, and tried to come up with other options, but alas - we ran out of options. Cam said he'd protect me, but I was pretty sure I would somehow be raped and murdered. (Cam says it's not nice to joke about rape and murder...I assure you that I'm not)

We first went to a laundromat off of Barker in Greenacres. It was in a gas station next to a Wendys. When we first pulled up, there were two questionable, scary men in front. Cam got out and went to look to see if it was open...one of the guys, this icky looking old man who looked high on something had gotten into his truck and started blasting Maroon 5... "Well at least he has good taste in music," I thought; and then he waved and winked at me. That's just what I need.

Cam came back and the laundromat had closed at 7. So we made our way over to the laundromat off of Sprague and Mullan. It was far less scary, but still a laundromat. We loaded all our laundry into 5 washers and waited...and waited...and waited...

Cam took this picture of me waiting...

We got tired of waiting, so I went next door and got some snacks. Cam really likes the Peach/Mango Fuze - but not only that, look what I found!!!

Huckleberry Licorice!!! I've been looking everywhere for these for the past couple years and have had a hard time finding them. Thank you Hi-Co Mart, you're the best!

Thus ended the laundromat adventure. Now I can sleep peacefully knowing my sheets and blankets are clean as well as my clothes, and that I did not in fact die. I really hope they get our laundry room together soon.

The One with the Man Ring

So Cam's ring is too big and we've been thinking about getting him another one. He recommended this one. Really Cam? Really?? Lol!
Well, I guess he'd never have an excuse to not have his hair combed. I seriously can't stop laughing.

The One with the Sunday Morning Belgian Waffles

So Cameron didn't get to bed until this morning at 5 AM!! He had a project he had to get done at the last minute, so that wasn't fun. One of his favorite foods is Belgian Waffles smothered in strawberries and cream, so I surprised him with that this morning.

The One with the New Home

This is the new house!!! I love it! We're surrounded by beautiful green and purple mountains, and wonderful neighbors.

So the beginning of our tour...this is when you first walk in the living room. Exciting, I know. We're not exactly sure what we're doing with the dresser, and we really don't have any furniture to sit on.

More of the living room. I LOVE the bay windows, and the fireplace.

This is the view from the living room. The master bathroom, spare room, and bathroom are up there. My shoes kept falling off. They kind of suck, and I left them there.

The Dining Room! I got the table cloth for $10 at TJ Maxx.

The Kitchen, the most important room of the house of course! I love my new kitchen. Lots of great cooking to come.

Mark and Karen came over for dinner last night. We played Farkle afterwards. I didn't do so well at the beginning, but got better soon after. Mark got to 10,000 points first, but of course everyone has a turn to try to beat his score, and of course, I kicked his butt. I'm awesome. Good game though Mark, good game. Side note, my math was atrocious at times, so maybe I should put an asterisk by my name.

I love our backyard and our deck. In the spring, I want to have an herb garden on the deck and maybe get a grill. That would be lovely. We're also hoping to get a dog soon....Fingers crossed.

As I said before, we really don't have a lot of furniture apart from our recliner. Mark and Karen so nicely loaned us the leather chair. Now we can both rest our bums comfortably to watch TV.

This is the lovely, cheap shelf we got from Walmart. It took us forever to put together.

And the TV stand....We're kind of expecting it to collapse any second now...We think it's well over it's weight limit....oops.

And the pantry. The pantry is in the basement. Cam's office is down there too, which I was not able to get a good picture of. His office used to be in the living room at our last house, so it was kind of sad to see him recluse to the basement.

The upstairs bathroom. We really like light blue, can't you tell? I got two super cute light blue cloth shower curtains for less than $20 at TJ Maxx.

We're calling this room the baby's room. No that is not an announcement. Right now though, it's the room that we hide everything in that we haven't unpacked so that it looks like our house is clean. Lovely right? Hopefully soon it will be used for something better.

The Master Bedroom. It's nice to have a big room for once. Plus, having my own closet is the BEST!

The view from upstairs.

This is the unfinished mudroom/laundry room.

The two car garage was a huge bonus! Having to move the other car or park it on the street wasn't fun at the last place. My car is in desperate need of a wash...It's definitely seen better days.

We're really excited to have our own place. Even though we are grateful that we were able to house sit with little to no rent before, it's nice to be in our home with our own stuff. Liberty Lake suits us very well. It's got the small town feel for me, and it's close to the city for Cameron. We're surrounded by beautiful mountains, and we LOVE our ward so far. We really think we'll be happy here. I'm so happy and excited for our future!
